Sample Eulogy For A Brother:
It is with great sadness that I stand in front of you today to remember the life of my younger brother Matt. Losing someone you love is never easy, but when their life is taken away at such a young age it is that much more difficult. I hope that these words will help alleviate some of the grief you are all feeling today.
Matt was a dreamer and lived everyday like it was his last. Even though my parent’s had wished he would settle down and choose a career and start a family that did not interest Matt. Matt loved to travel and explore the world. He had travelled since he graduated high school and had visited over thirty countries. While he was a traveller at heart, family was still very important to him. We didn’t see him as much as we liked, but he always kept in touch with us and made sure we were doing OK. When I got married a few years ago he flew back for the wedding without any hesitation and was proud to be part of my wedding.
My brother was a hard worker and always had a job no matter where in the world he was. He also loved to volunteer and helped build a number of homes in schools in countries all over the world. He was also very interested in health and wellness. He did yoga daily and teaching yoga was a passion of his. He was a vegan as well and taught me a lot about healthy eating and organic foods.
One of the things that I respected the most about my brother was his determination to live his life the way he wanted. His goals and aspirations were different than my own, but that didn’t mean that him and I weren’t close. He was a best friend to me and even though we lived far apart, we always talked and were there whenever each other needed.
I will miss my brother more than words can say. He may be gone but his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
